Values and Statutes

The main mission of Upstream Stories is to use participatory media to offer voice to underprivileged groups and individuals and by doing so to promote understanding and intercultural dialogue.

Values

In everything we do, we work according to our defined values.

We value transparency in all we do, and all are welcome to look at our accountings

We value our donors, and we always play with open and honest cards

We value the safety and experience of our participants

We value the safety and work environment of our facilitators

We value high quality in our projects, we will rather refrain from having a project, than deliver a mediocre effort

We value the sustainable development goals of UN, and do everything within the aims of our statutes to meet them

We value our work and intellectual property

Richard Posthumus

Richard first started getting associated with facilitation of projects in 2018, improving his skills and competences ever since. His biggest passion comes from his interest in storytelling which gets expressed in writing, drawing, filmmaking and photography. With these 10+ projects under his belt, he has accumulated a broad international network which he keeps in contact with for future collaborations. Currently working in a different field, his heart lies in non-formal education and spends any free time into exploring that field more and more often.
